Hands-free just as dangerous as holding it in your hand

An older article here, but nonetheless always relevant, detailing how a using your phone in the car is dangerous regardless of whether or not your are using a hands-free device or not.

Of course within Australia, the use of mobile phones while driving in cars is illegal unless being operated with a hands-free device, but as the study from the Carnegie Mellon University details, the act of listening is the most distracting aspect to drivers. It does not come down to an inability to operate the car properly while holding a mobile, but instead it is the brain’s inability to multitask which is the main cause of distraction to drivers.
